31 August-1 September, Basel – I am very honoured to be have been invited to give one of the keynote lectures at the STS Switzerland conference. The title of my keynote is ‘STS after 9/11’.
14-15 September, Berlin – Looking forward to taking part in the Ada Lovelace Festival on the theme of ‘Beyond the visible’. My own contribution is called ‘Ich sehe was, was du nicht siehst. What do you see when you look for AI?’
21-22 September, Maastricht – co-organising a session with Annika Richterich about ‘technofeminism’ at the event marking the 25th anniversary of the Centre for Gender and Diversity. We are delighted that Payal Arora and Caroline Bassett will join us for that session. Registration is now open.
Past
8 March, Birmingham Business School (online) – Citational justice: Lessons from the Maastricht citation guide – with Sharon Anyango and Nicole Basaraba. In this, we will reflect on our citation guide, which has had a wonderful afterlife.
10 March, University of Edinburgh (in person) – for Biomedical AI group, with Flora Lysen.
30-31 March, University of Exeter (in person) – participate in roundtable discussion, ‘Is Open Science Good for Research?’. This is part of the conference organised under the auspices of Sabina Leonelli’s ERC project “A Philosophy of Open Science for Diverse Research Environments”. A recording of the roundtable is now available on the project website.
11May, Amsterdam – more on citational justice at a symposium organised by the Dutch Young Academy about publication cultures in the humanities. Space is limited but you can register here.
26-30 June, Bologna – during this week I will join the final workshop of Annalisa Pelizza’s ERC project Processing Citizenship. I will take advantage of being there, to participate in the STS Italia conference.
