January 25, 2020/in Presentations /by Sally Wyatt

One of the best things about my work is the opportunity to meet interesting people in interesting places, to share ideas and learn from them. That came to an abrupt halt in March 2020. Below is a list of the events from the early part of the year, and we’ll all have to wait to see what will be possible in the future.

January
24 – keynote lecture at the Symposium about Consumer and Data Privacy, organised by Maastricht Law & Tech Lab

27 – co-organiser (with Joris van Hoboken and Josep Domingo-Ferrer) of the Doctoral Colloquium at the FAT* ACM conference (Fairness, Accountability & Transparency), Barcelona

31 – presentation about digitalisation at the Responsible Innovation Workshop organised by BISS, Heerlen

February

6 – UM Star lectures for alumni, London. My lecture will address the myths of big data.

13 – talking about predatory publishing at the Responsible Journals Workshop, Radboud University Nijmegen, being held prior to the PhD defense of Serge Horbach.

March

2 – A digital turn in STS, and what it might mean for objects, methods and normative commitments, seminar at the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Sciences Innovations Sociétés, Paris
